Patience It is said that I'm the proprietor of Let It Rain Yarn store, but in reality the store owns me! My love of fibers started as a child and blossomed with my small llama acreage in Iowa where I sheared and knitted the fiber from my 14 llamas. I followed my husband to Seattle in 2004 and started off on my next dream of opening a yarn shop (now I have no time to knit!). It is a joy to watch the fiber community grow and thrive and I'm thankful for the many friends I have found in my new home.

Faye - What can I say? I love life and everything about it, especially color, yarn, and a good challenge of any kind. My second home and extended family has become Let It Rain Yarn. My children know that if I'm home - I'm knitting, and if I'm not at home - chances are I'm at the shop. I love to teach and I'm known by many as the "Sock Lady". I also enjoy gardening, quilting, and my grandpuppies Kyrie and Kiska two very large loving German Sheppard's that I have visit as often as possible.

Amy - I walked into, Let it Rain Yarn (LIRY), and proclaimed, "I want to learn how to knit!" In just over a year, with some guidance and encouragement from the LIRY community, I entered the world of design; creating young and modern designs in both knit and crochet. I have delusions of someday quitting my job and raising Alpaca's to knit. For now, I’ll settle for helping others learn to unleash their fiber creativity.

Megan - I have been knitting for almost 10 years. I started on a road trip across the country. My friend thought it would be fun if we both learned so that they’d have something to do in the passenger seat. Unfortunately, my friend ended up getting car sick, but I kept going.
I live in Everett with my husband, son, 2 cats and a dog. I always have ice cream in my freezer and knitting in my glove compartment!

Mae - I learned to knit when I was seven, and was stuck making rectangles until I found Let it Rain. Since then I have branched out to many types of projects. Among my favorites are socks and "monsters" - stuffed animals that I make up as I go along and never make twice. I love to teach people to knit and help with anything I can. Right now I'm a Senior in high school, and I plan on going to Central Washington University in Ellensburg when I graduate.

Norma - I have been knitting for more years than I want to admit at the moment. My Aunt taught me as a child and I haven't stopped since. I love teaching all ages to knit socks on double points and two circular needles. So, come on in for a lesson to learn! My favorite pastimes are knitting, crochet, gardening, and spending time with my grandchildren!

Alex - I moved from Australia to Everett Washington in 2004 where I got married and became obsessed with crochet. I rarely found crochet patterns that I wanted to wear so I started to design my own funky patterns and have had a number of them published in magazines. I also have a graphic design business and a cat. I take pleasure in bringing new converts to the world of crochet.

Soliel is in charge of "Customer Relations" and "Shipping and Receiving" at Let It Rain Yarn. Soleil loves to greet new clients or welcome back the regulars. Children are her favorite customers! She takes her job in Shipping and Receiving very seriously and alerts us all to arriving shipments (we will soon be hearing impaired from the barking!). Soleil is a fun-loving Frisbee player and walker and we are very grateful for this hard working and loving family member. She loves to get mail and treats.
